Websites
For clubs, leagues, events and creators. Clear, fast, and simple to keep up to date yourself.
Rich · Design & build studio
I'm Rich. I design, build and look after websites, admin panels and tools for clubs, events and creators. The complicated part is my job, so the people running things don't have to deal with it.
What I do
Small, well-made pieces of the web: quick on a phone, cheap to run, and easy for your own people to keep up to date.
For clubs, leagues, events and creators. Clear, fast, and simple to keep up to date yourself.
Scoring, records, approvals and event paperwork. The fiddly rules are handled, and the results show up where people need them.
Focused tools that do one job well, plus side projects I build for fun.

A new website for the event, with an admin panel that does the race-day organising too. The organiser presses a button and gets the paperwork, rather than rebuilding it in Word every year.

Selected work
Most of it so far is for running and athletics, made under the Just Running name. Each item says what it is: a client build, something I made for fun, or an unofficial rebuild.
Clubs, leagues & events
The league's own website: fixtures and venues, member clubs, how the scoring works, and results as they land.
sussexmastersleague.uk →Used on every match day. Results go in by bib number, and scoring by age band and the league standings are worked out as they arrive.
scorer.sussexmastersleague.uk →Track, field, road and multi-event club records in one place. Members submit, officials approve, and the boards update themselves.
records.eastbourneroversac.co.uk →The same records hub, set up for a second club with its own records, events and approvals.
hacrecords.justrunning.uk →The event website, plus maps, event plans, QR codes and volunteer info from buttons in the admin panel.
wtiruns.uk · launching soonCreative
A portfolio site for a user-generated content creator, built to win brand deals. The creator updates their own stats, text, brand logos and videos from the admin panel, with no waiting on me.
Coming soonMade for fun, on Just Running
Free tools I built because I wanted them. Runners use them, and they stay free.
Trace a run and snap it to real paths, find water and cafés on the way, plan your pace and send it to your watch.
justrunning.uk/routemaker/runner →For race organisers: drop in a GPX file and get an animated route map and elevation profile for the event page.
justrunning.uk/routemaker →Capture your Power of 10 results and read your whole career back on one page, in the old layout.
justrunning.uk/po10 →Target time to pace or pace to finish time, with splits and equivalent efforts at every other distance.
justrunning.uk/pace →Rep times from a target pace, with lap and 200 m splits for every rep from 200 m to 2 km.
justrunning.uk/reps →Unofficial rebuilds
Not commissioned. These show how I'd rebuild an existing league site to be quick and easy to use on a phone.
About
Just Studio is me. You deal with the person who designs your site, builds it and fixes it, from the first chat to race day. There are no account managers and no hand-offs, and you won't be paying for an agency's overheads.
It started with running: Just Running, and the clubs and leagues around it. Now I build for anyone with something fiddly to organise, or something they want to show off.
Your domain, your accounts, your content. Nothing is locked to me.
Built on fast, low-cost hosting, so nothing falls over if a bill gets missed.
Admin panels made for volunteers and creators, not developers. You're never waiting on me for a change.
Every project comes with handover notes, so it's never a mystery how it works.
A Just Studio project
Just Running is where the studio started, and it's still my home for running and athletics: club and league sites, match-day apps and free tools for runners. The tools stay free, and if they've helped your running, a coffee keeps them going.
